tomcad95
My 95' Sedan Deville needs front struts. I was looking at the replacement front Struts from Arnott Inc., does anyone know how good these replacements are and whats involved with hooking up the transistor to bypass the error messages from coming up. Thanks
growe3
The Arnott's are an excellent replacement shock and strut. No problems connecting them, they use dummy solenoids, so the computer thinks it still has the original setup. See link for how I did the rear shocks on my 93 STS. tomcad95
Unfortunately the 95 does not use the dummy solenoid, it uses a transistor that needs to be hooked-up to fool the computer. When you replaced the struts did you also replace the Strut Mounts? Thanks

When you replaced the struts did you also replace the Strut Mounts? Thanks I am not sure what you mean by a transistor to control the shocks/struts. The 1995 STS seems to be the same as the earlier models, with active suspension. The controls are part of each shock or strut, they are read and controlled, by the Speed Sensing Module. Take a look at this link: Cadillac 1995 STS The strut mounts on mine were fine, so there was no need to replace them ( at 125k miles ). If yours look weak or distorted, replace them. -George Drive'em like you own 'em. - ....................04 DTS............................
