NEWB IN NEED OF HELP...

Recommended Posts

First off, hey! I'm nick the new guy with a question. I just recently purchased a 2005 STS v6 3.6l and it's got 46k miles on it (got it for $18,000 :) at Carmax ) Test drove it and it rode fine, but when I went to drive it off the lot it would'nt start, they took it to the local Cadillac Dealer last friday april 18th and replaced something called a PCM? it still would'nt start so they replaced the Fuse Block? My buddies have been telling me that once a Cadillacs electronics goes bad it's pretty much done, however none of them have ever owned a Caddy before, so you can see why I'd seek some advice from some guys who really know what's going on, this is my first Cadillac, so I want to make a wise decision.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Honestly it's under some kind of warranty correct? If so have it fixed and document all the repairs... If you can return it, do so!

True. Good example would be flood cars.

Plenty of those floating around after Katrina.

Water will actually seep into the wire harness itself. Forever electrical problems...never ends..

$18k for a 46K 2006 STS? To me, sounds little bit too good to be true..very surprised at the price.

Maybe I'm wrong..
