Mklisch
This is Mklisch about the car jerking 42-50mph when I hit the brake pedal like you said it seemed to drive smooth again?
JimD
One possibility is the brake switch contacts are/were dirty or corroded and you tapped the brake pedal at just the right moment to wipe the copper surface clean. Another possibility is the switch is not adjusted properly. Either way, enjoy the success. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE ! JimD
The switches (there could be two) are attached to the brake pedal mounting bracket under the dash and actuated by the brake pedal arm.
