AaronM
Hi, I think a stock 92STS 4.9L does 0-60 in 8.1s. I am hoping to dip into the high sevens(that is as fast as I want to go, any faster and I might do something crazy). What would my 0-60 be if I added an Edelbrock RPM muffler, K&N filter, and advance the timing to 13 or 14. Thanks! JasonA
Get a G-tech and test YOUR particular car. We know that any particular car will perform differently from another particular car, even if it's the same exact model. However, assuming yours does 0-60 in 8.1, I'd say you need another 15-25 hp to get into the 7s. I'd forget the filter -- weld on a good muffler (like the Edelbrock you're thinking about) and bump the timing and run it. You'll get there. By the way, I thought the '92s were faster than that -- like between 7.0 and 7.5 seconds somewhere. Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?" K2K
I think 92 is on the mid-way hill, the engine peaked at ' 94 or '95 pretty well I think.
