Babydon
I printed the advice everyone was so kind to provide here on Caddyinfo. As well as how to check for DTC's. I also printed the codes themselves so I can check off what I read on board and post it back here. I'm going for a drive this Wed. - I am a total rookie when it comes to cars, even though I work at the Registrar of Imported Vehicles and work weekends at a car auction. Having said that, what should I be looking for glancing underneath the car and under the hood? lol..I'm gonna look like a schoolboy with all the notes I'm bringing with me. Anyway, here's the car - any final pointers for this noob would be greatly appreciated! http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/details.asp...mp;adid=6542862 87k miles on her plus NO accidents. I'm so excited!!! lol
95SevilleSLS
Link doesn't seem to work. Not sure why, sorry. What color is it? Does it have navigation? I love these cars even when they end up with a problem, I still can't seem to let them go. -Dusty- - 02 Seville STS, white diamond - 93 Sixty Special, Tan with vinyl top - 79 Coupe DeVille, Tan with Tan top - 06 GMC Sierra Z71, Black - 92 Silverado C1500, black and grey - 83 Chevy K10 Silverado, Black and Grey

ted tcb
Nice colour combo. By 2003, there shouldn't be any HG issues. To be safe, drive her hard and watch the coolant temp. For certain, I would drive into a rad shop and have them check the coolant for exhaust gasses. Its a simple, fast, inexpensive test. I'd also head over to Hwy 401 and drive a distance between 110kph and 130kph. You're looking for that 65mph shake that so many STS' have as they age. If it has the shake, don't let Focus suggest that a simple wheel balancing will cure the shimmy ... some have had success with a Hunter road force balance, but many must live with the shimmy. Post back the results of your experience. I've often been tempted to check out Focus Auto Group. They sell STS's cheaper than any retailer in Toronto. I've often wondered if their cars are great deals, or just high mile problems. Good luck with the test drive. With gas prices projected to climb to over $1.30 per litre, I bet you could grab that car for $10k. Its been advertised for some time. I personally wouldn't bother with an extended warranty. They'll offer you a Lubrico warranty. The one that covers head gaskets costs about $900 for one year, but its only powertrain and gaskets. I put it on my 2001 STS for peace of mind, but it was a waste of money. 1989 FWD Fleetwood, Silver 1995 STS Crimson Pearl on Black leather 1997 STS Diamond White 1999 STS Crimson Pearl 2001 STS Silver 2003 STS, Crimson Pearl

95SevilleSLS
Looks like a nice car. I wish mine was black, but white diamond is definitely my next choice. I love the black interiors. I wish mine had those exhaust tips. Nice car though! -Dusty- - 02 Seville STS, white diamond - 93 Sixty Special, Tan with vinyl top - 79 Coupe DeVille, Tan with Tan top - 06 GMC Sierra Z71, Black - 92 Silverado C1500, black and grey - 83 Chevy K10 Silverado, Black and Grey
ted tcb
For negotiating strength, remember that one picture shows the car beside a Xmas tree. That car has been on their lot for at least two months. Good luck. 1989 FWD Fleetwood, Silver 1995 STS Crimson Pearl on Black leather 1997 STS Diamond White 1999 STS Crimson Pearl 2001 STS Silver 2003 STS, Crimson Pearl
WarrenJ
Very handsome! I hope it meets your expectations. Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
