I also have a 1990 Eldo whose ac failed in the same way. Whats the common cause of ac failures on these caddys? Compressor seal or hose leak? Ranger Posted May 2, 2004 Report Share Posted May 2, 2004 On a car that old it might not be a "failure". My understanding is that refrigerant molicules are very very small and can seep out of the tiniest if spaces. Over 10 yrs or more it is not uncommon to need to top it off.
