while working on my 92 seville (4.9) engine i found a small wire unplugged ,,, i found it on the passenger side of the firewall just laying there under where the harness (ecm i think) goes into the car,,, its a small plug roundish with a rubber boot on its shaft, it has 3 tiny wires in it and the plug end is female,,,,, WHERE DOES THIS GO??? I LOOKED AND CANT FIND ANYWHERE TO PLUG IT ,,, I AM WONDERING IF IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH CLIMATE CONTROL OR WHAT???

If you don't have something that is not working, and if you don't have any OBD codes, then it's probably either for an accessory that you don't have, or for service access. Have you run the OBD codes? Here's how:

heat doesnt seem to work and during the summer a/c didnt work , but i am not positive the plug is part of those systems,,, a/c compressor kicks on but nothing blows out of vents and yes the blower motor is working at all speeds and i inspected it

It might be the connector to the vacuum routing box. It's operated electrically by the ACM. You should have an OBD code that will tell you that the vacuum servos aren't working. Get the codes and post them here.

The location sounds like it could be an A/C line pressure sensor, but your description sounds suspiciously like a vacuum line. Do the HVAC modes work OK? Does the parking brake release when you put it in gear? Can you post a picture of it?

its definitely a female electrical connector larry , it has 3 round female receptacles and the wires going to it are really small gauge 18gauge or so ,the tip of the entire connector is less than the size of a dime ,,,i am not getting any vacuum or a/c codes though the only consistent code the car gets is io39 ,,, also i really dont believe this is a connector for some accessory or option i dont have , it has one of those compression looking boots near the inserting tip,,, again the climate control is the only thing (besides the radio) that doesnt work ( the control seem to change numbers on the dash display and fan motor speed) but nothing blows out of any vent or duct at any time whether heat or defroster or a/c is on

Your air mix door might snap off. Remove the glove box and you'll see it. Press 90 and watch it moving.

The saddest thing in life is wasted talent

Boy, it has been so long since I have had my head under the hood of a '92 I can't help much more from memory.

it has one of those compression looking boots near the inserting tip

I think that is called a weatherpack connector. Obviously to seal out moisture.
