soderbom
Hi! Today I was told that the body of the 1986 Seville should be made in aluminum. Do anyone know if this is correct?
BodybyFisher
I for some reason think they are galvanized sheet metal, I don't think it was aluminum. Some Sevilles if I recall had stainless steel roof panels. Ed Hall
The 1986 Seville body is made of all steel. The Biarritz model of the Eldorado from 1979-1985 had stainless steel tops. The Seville's didn't have this option. The only Cadillac of this time frame that had lots of Aluminum was the 1987-1993 Allante. They had aluminum hoods, rear decks and aluminum hard top. Oh if you look at my Eldorado Biarritz in the picture below, it has a silver top. I painted it silver to look like a Stainless steel top that was available in the older Eldorado's. I always thought the stainless steel tops were kind of cool.
