It's Green (Polo?)

Well, my quest for a 2002 ESC has ended with the purchase of a 2001 ETC. I'm hoping my kidneys will get used to it.

These things are a dime-a-dozen in Florida, but you just can't find them in the NYMA.

Warren

There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

Great; congratulations. Love the high-wood trim interior.

Thanks Bruce.

Hope you and your organs enjoy the new ride.

PS: check the tire pressure.

I will do that. :D

You can control the ride of an ETC by the choice of tires. If you use GT tires instead of ultra high performance all-season, you will get a better ride at the expense of handling. Check TheTireRack.com for a tire selection guide. And, as JimD says, the tire pressure is the final tune of ride vs. handling. My 2997 door post says 30 psi and that is a good cold pressure for an excellent compromise between ride and handling, but I wouldn't go below 30 psi. I use 32 psi with my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires and they are hard as a rock. With softer tires I might try 35 psi if the traction held up at that pressure. But, I think that 30 psi or whatever the door jamb says on your car is probably best overall.

Some good points there.

But about that 2997 thing . . . . ?

Green Polo is one of the best colors for an Eldo, IMHO. Congratulations!

Thanks!

Congrats Warren. How about some details. Mileage? Certified? Local or did you have to fly out and drive back?

55K uncertified miles. Dealer is 26 miles from home. "Father & Son Auto" are Armenian. Good thing I'm not Turkish! :D

Beautiful car, much more distinctive and unique compared to your 1998 ESC.

How does the interior compare to your ESC ...other than the wood wheel, is there much difference?

This one is closer in appeal to "Baby", may she rest in peace.

What did you do with the ESC .... rent it out to BBF for his class reunions?

You know, we all expect a full review .... love the colour combo with the roof and black leather!

Here's my favourite shot of your car.

Seeing as how I found the ESC for you ... if you're done with it, can I have her? :D

Hehe, That's pretty good. Warren can't find the car he's looking for ANYwhere and a guy in Ontario finds one 26 miles from him. What would we do without the internet?

1] Yeah, who was that S.O.B. that found me that '98 ESC?

2] Excepting the wood on the console and wheel, the interior is nearly identical to the '98.

3] Yes, RIP.

4] The ESC is parked. I'm guessing the steed will have a new home long before BbF becomes Homecomming King.

I am guessing you paid under 10k for an 01? w/55K?

NOPE! Remember: NYMA! . . . $12,500.

But it is in extraordinary condition. That, after all, is what I searched for over a year and some. It just had to be Sooooooo GOOD!

Given that I was laid off last Thursday from my job in Manhattan due a lack of work due to the commercial real estate financial markets, the last thing on my mind at this point is changing my car or running for home coming king, right now I am in damage control mode. Good Luck with the new Eldo, it looks nice..

Ditto, that's rotten news for those of us who cheer for you, Mike.

On a lighter note, I find your avatar strangely appealing.

You wouldn't happen to have a full body shot, would you?

It's a blessing in disguise, I have watched as they have let go of about 25 people since I started last March. Most were let go for performance reasons, I and 4 others were let go for head count (cut back) reasons due to a lack of work. I need to find a firm that is kinder to its employees. I think they made a big mistake, I was well liked and it created a BIG uproar within the company. The company did not gain any employee allegiance with this move. I worked 12 hour days in a days leading up to Christmas, and saved their asses working a 14.5 hour day on a 1.2 million square foot regional mall cash flow in Utah the week they let go of me! They lost the best Argus cash flow modeler due to my 27 years of appraisal experience, its THEIR loss.. unfortunately they are more concerned with the time spent on a job rather than the accuracy.

As a matter of fact I do have a full body shot, but its too risque for this site, send me an email address via PM, I am sure it will be appealing  I know what you mean by appealing by the way, I found myself slack jawed when I first saw the picture, Thanks Ted
