JasonA
You'll have to measure it. You are right, there are many sizes. Even when ordering by the suspension code (FE1 for my '97 SLS), they got it wrong the first time. Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?" BodybyFisher
Its not necessary to know the sway bar size unless you are going after market like with Energy Suspensions POLY bushings. I will say that the SLS and STS have different size bars, with the STS having a thicker bar. I think its SLS 19 mm and the STS 21 mm but check that out. As Jason noted, I used a digital caliper to measure mine. JasonA
Even with factory bushings, there are a number of sizes, two for the SLS suspension I think. He said there was FE1, FE2, and FE3. FE3 was STS...but the SLS had either of the two. Mine said FE1 on the RPO decal. Wrong. Well...at least the bushing that was attributed to that option code in the computer was wrong. That, or the original owner (who was actually a Cadillac employee) swapped stabilizer bars for one off an STS. I never did replace the bushings, so I don't know what the size ended up being. Interesting, I just gave my VIN number, but yes I guess its possible for the bar to have been changed.
