caddiman78
a while ago i posted with a problem about rough ride in the cold weather. well after about 2 weeks of coming and going depending on the weather and the dealership telling me that they would have to have the car when it was cold and getting the run around from them i have found that it is a seal of some sort on the strut freezing giving it a rough ride in cold weather. so here is the dilemma, do i replace just that one strut in the rear? and what is the best option for me to do this? also it seems that when the compressor in the rear turns on i can here a hissing from my left rear tire area and its the right rear strut that is bad. i have only had this car for less than a month and bought it from a cadillac dealership here in milwaukee and since have had many problems. including a tire that decided to give out on the sidewall on the way to the shop yesterday that ended up costing me an additional 200.00 michelin mxv4 any suggestions?/
Ed Fenwick
Aloha caddiman, You know that it is always a good idea to replace shocks in pairs. Before you do that, I would find where the leak is from the compressor. You may only nees a new piece of plastic tubing. Good lluck Ed
caddiman78
well bought the car on december 5th, noticed something wasnt right the third day and was told to ride it out and see what happens, in the end its in the dealership right now getting 2 new rear shocks along with fixing the airleak in the back and is going to cost 2044.00 and they are arguing with me about paying for it. even though i brought the car in 3 times since for ses light on 2 times. and on the way to the dealership getting a flat tire and noticing a burned out headlight. wow i hope things get much better from here.
