STS Scott
While in Florida over the Christmas holiday, the DTS's drivers window failed. Now that we are home my dad and I would like to remove the door panel to assess the problem. Does anyone know the proceedure to remove the drivers door panel, and what hardware is needed (2001 DTS)? I can guess that the power window mechanism seperated from the glass itself, because there was a cracking sound that took place, and now the glass is free-moving and sinks into the door with gravity. Using our hands, we pulled it up, and used duct-tape around the perimeter of the window to hold it up until we got home...It looks pretty shabby right now! lol Any tips appreciated!! JimD
Door interior trim panel: There is one screw at the rear bottom corner, one screw behind a plastic cover behind the door-open pull, and two screws under a velcroed upholstery flap at the door-close pull.
