Probably the shifter cable needs adjustment. Do you have a factory shop manual (FSM)? If you can get under the car and have the documentation, you can probably fix it yourself.

I have a 98 eldorado and it wont go into park i can go thru all the gears just wont go into park anyone know what the problem might be

It could be as easy to fix as sliding a pin through two holes in a bellcrank and adjusting the cable end. All from leaning over the the LF fender.

But you need the Service Manual for the correct and complete step by step for your year-model. The only manual to trust is published by Helm and you can buy them direct from Helm or get lucky on eBay.
