wfpd39
Has anyone found an aftermarket battery that will replace the AC/DELCO OEM?
Cadillac Jim
There are a lot of them out there. Watch out for "universal" batteries with both top terminals and side terminals. The top terminals are shorts (and fires) looking for a place to happen, and the top terminals may not clear chassis braces or your hood. I've tried them and found that the most miles per dollar are still with a Delco OEM battery. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. KHE
The batteries that are mounted under the rear seat seem not to have a direct aftermarket equivalent. Kevin '93 Fleetwood Brougham '05 Deville '04 Deville 2013 Silverado Z71
wfpd39
It is under the hood, not under the seat as with the older STS's. I have been told that a 1999-1994 DeVilleConcours has the same size battery. Can anyone confirm that?
