Red89gt
I went looking at the DTS this weekend and to my dissapointment I didn't fit. The car was awesome but my legs could not stretch out no matter where I put the seat. I am 6'-4" and the salesguy was laughing I was the first customer in all his years that he saw that couldn't stretch out in a DTS. Do any of you have the same problem? I was wondering how you got around it? Are there brackets to move the seat back or did you just drill the floor and remount the anchor points wiht a little plate steel fabrication? I cannot be the only person over 6'-4" experiencing this. I searched the forum but could not get a hit on this issue. Pretty upset the car was beautiful, every option, navig, black on black, 35k miles, clean car fax, one owner, still under warranty and $23,900. Seemed like a great price since it was $52k new 2 years ago. Realy blows finally can have a caddy and I don't fit in the darn thing.
Cadillac Jim
I'm a bit mystified by this. I would try an other DTS because it's possible that the seat wasn't moving back, or all the way back. The seats and mounts are pretty well integrated into the chassis. It isn't just a bolt-to-the-floorplan thing. If you're sure that the electric seats are working properly and you still feel that you need more footroom, look at an Escalade. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. JasonA
Having had a 2005 DeVille loaner for a week, and having driven a few before I bought my STS, I can't imagine what car you CAN fit in, if you can't fit in the DeVille! Cadillac Jim
I think that either the salesman didn't know how to operate the power seats or the power seats weren't operating properly. John Wicz
I believe it, I'm 6'2" with long legs and wish I had a couple of more inches of leg room.
jasper60103
yep, I'm 6'1". I push the seat back all the way in my 04 Deville. When I had an 07 DTS loaner, I noticed the leg room was improved though.
Ranger
I am 6'2" and don't have any problem in my DHS. Do a little research. There is no "chassis". It is unibody so they might be movable with a little fabrication.
John Wicz
I think that a 36" pants inseam is the reason for my lack of legroom.
