Texas Jim
Howdy all, Just thought I would report some good Customer Service for a change. I read so much about BAD service. Went out yesterday morning to drive the '06 DTS. Battery was dead. It was probably all my fault, as I had left the radar detector on and the cell phone charger plugged in and the car hadn't been started for about two weeks. Called the dealer for a jump start. It was in my garage and I couldn't get to it to jump it off. Five minutes later, dealer called me ... said service guy was on the way. Ten minutes after that... he was here. He jumped it off, let it run for a few minutes... then did load test on battery. It checked good. He had some kind of handheld meter that also checked for internal shorts and bad cells. All tests were ok... I mentioned I would hate to get stranded somewhere, if it decided not to start again... he said "No problem." He then replaced the battery with a new one. No hassles... great service and very prompt and polite. ( I gave him 10 bucks.. told him to have lunch on me. )

JasonA
Thanks for the good customer service report. I've generally found Cadillac dealerships to be very good. The only exception is the one in Fayetteville that also sells Hondas. You can tell Hondas are their main business, and they're not a "real" Cadillac dealer. The dealer in Greensboro from which I bought my STS, Bill Black Cadillac, was a CADILLAC DEALER, boy. You could tell they sold Cadillacs...and you can tell mine here sells Hondas. I'd recommend Bill Black to anyone in North Carolina. He and his son race CTS-Vs at Virginia International Raceway and they sponsor a race there: http://www.virclub.com/vir/index.php?optio...57&Itemid=1 Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?" Texas Jim
Uh, you can buy lunch for $10 in Texas? Yep... actually you can. In fact there is a little Mom and Pop diner just a few blocks from the dealer that serves a pretty good plate lunch (meat, three vegatables and tea) for 7.99. Darling wife and I have eaten there a few times. Not gourmet food but pretty good eating none the less.

Texas Jim
Good to hear the dealer gave you good service. Just a thought maybe you should return the favor & edit your post about the tech & how he was going to get your battery covered Just the one sentence from Said XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXGM. One never knows who views these forums. As they say a slip of the lip could sink a ship Some things are better not mentioned. Don't have the "EDIT" button for some reason. Thanks for the tip. Didn't think of THAT. Don't want to get anyone on trouble .. thats for sure. I will PM Bruce.
