Parking and Tail light problem

Hi All,

I have a problem that just started, my parking lights and tail lights go out about after 20 minutes into operation. The headlights remain on and brake lights and flashers still will work.

If I shut the car off for a few minutes the lights will start working again for another 20 minutes or so and go out again.

This leads me to beleive its probably an electonics problem with a light Control Module. BCM/PZM maybe.

Has anyone had this problem with their external lights before? any experience appreciated.

Thanks,

Al

I think it's more likely a relay. Somebody with experience in this problem should chim in. If not, I'll come back with data from the 1997 FSM.

There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

Hi All,

Thanks for your replys and help. I took my Eldo to the local Dealer after researching all the possibilities.

It did have a bad relay. There is one specifcally for all parking lights behind the back seat with all the other modules. Only a $16 part plus labor of course. If someone else gets this at least they will know. Now I can deal with the fixit ticket!

Best Regards,

Al
