New Fuel Pump design Changed???

Just bought a new fuel pump from rock auto.com and the old fuel pump has 3 plastic tubes coming out the top- all the same length. The new fuel pump has three plastic tubes where the fuel lines hook up but the middle tube is shorter by 1/2 an inch!!!!

Called Rock Auto- they called A/C delco and confirmed right part for my vin number on car. The person at Rock auto also looked at photo's of fuel pumps from other mfg's and they showed the same design the 3 tubes -but with the middle tube about an inch shorter than the rest!! My Cadillac repair manual- helms- shows 3 tubes all the same!!!

SO QUESTION IS= HAS ANYONE RUN INTO THIS PROBLEM??? WILL THIS PART WORK ??? IS THIS A REDESIGN OF AN OLDER PART- OR IS THERE ANY ADDITIONAL ADAPTERS OR CLIPS TO MAKE SURE THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL LINES STAY ON AND HOOK UP OK TO THIS FUEL PUMP//

I appreciate any information you can share if you have expereinced this!! I will call the Cadillac dealer in the morning- not sure how much info they will give me since I didn't order the part from them!! Just ask if part they have has all three tubes the same length- or if they have been changed??

To make a long story short, I dont know. But if the hose will reach and connect it should work.

i just changed minE and i dont remEMBER 1 being shorter i have a 95 sls but from the pictures posted i had the 1st. one
