WarrenJ
I posted about this a year ago. Nothing has changed. The current steed blows cold air immediately upon start-up. That's not comfortable in cold weather (thank the gods for heated seats!). I would expect the Climate Control to refrain from sending air to the vents until the water temperature reaches something in excess of, maybe, 125 degrees or so. No? Not happening! Cold air right from the start. The car is otherwise flawless where Climate Control is concerned. The water temperature and outside temperature readings are fine etc. I've traveled the troubleshooting charts in the manual without help. Any ideas? Regards, Warren P.S. MAC
First, global warming brought about by human-produced CO2 is nonsense. Second, if you have the defroster button depressed the fan will kick on immediately regardless of coolant temp. Otherwise, the fan will not kick on until the temp is at least 100 degrees F. BodybyFisher
This should be easy. Your blower should not turn on till the coolant reaches about 110 to 115 degrees. I will look in the manual. It must be tied to the cooant sensor somehow. I assume your coolant sensor appears to be working ok? MAC is correct I believe the defroster will over ride this delay. By the way, I was on the Southern State the other night and saw the Eldorado that I want, it was GOLD... BUICK11
I do not know about the Northstar but on the 3800 GM motor their is a sensor screwed into the block that will not let the blower come on until 120 degrees. Frank

WarrenJ
Mike, It's always important to count the doors! (Or count the kids). I've become tired of trying to find a newer Eldorado here in New York. They simply aren't available. I expect I'll take my next vacation in Florida, the graveyard of inexpensive Eldorados. Look for me to have a new Eldorado sometime in January. Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. Texas Jim
So how hard is it to keep black clean It is not hard at all Mike. It's impossible. I agree totally. It can't be done. If you start at the front cleaning it... by the time you get to the back... you need to start over on the front again. In addition to my White Lightning DTS.... I have a BLACK Taurus.
