My sons car would not start 2 nights ago. The battery was completly dead. We charged it and got him going again. but, It has been doing strange things like not starting on a hill. We thought he didn't have enough gas and the pump was not able to pump it up to start it. so, we went and put gas in it for him and no problems for a few days.

Then it would not start at his friends house on flat ground. Battery was dead as I said and we charged it and drove it home.

I didn't think about pulling codes until this morning. I figured he was just not putting enough gas in it and then left something on in the car and ran the battery down.

Well, I pulled the codes and he has at least 20 in history and only one current. The current is TCSC1234. I believe that is the traction control module. this should not be his starting problem.

I cleared the PCM codes but the others MSM,MMM, IPC, ACM, etc did not clear.

How do I clear these so we can start fresh on this diagnosis for his car?

The codes I pulled were:

PCM P1599

PCM1632

IPCB1552

IPCB1983

IPCB2710

IPCB2780

IPCB1348

IPCB1983

B2477

B2473

B2471

PZMbo533

PZM1552

1558

1971

1983

I GAVE UP!

I just want to clear and start over.

I am not sure what is going on with it.

Thanks

Linda

Linda, How did you clear them, CLEAR ALL CODES? or some other prompt? I thought you could clear all codes at one time. If that does not work, you may have to scroll to MSM, clear the codes, scroll to IPC, clear the codes etc. Seems to me I just had to do that on my previous '97 Deville that I sold to a neighbor.

It ask at the end if I wanted to clear PCM codes. I said yes. I am not sure how to get to the others to clear them.

I will try again. I did not scroll back or anything. I just turned it off and started the check again. I usualy do not have to go anywhere except let it get to the end and answer the question to clear them. The 95 and 2002 seem easy to clear.

I will figure it out.
