msb113
Okay, does anyone have a picture of what the connector in the trunk should look like and I will go from there... I have read a few posts that state it is a 10 pin connector 4+6 is this correct? I have a connector in the trunk but it has a double 4 + Double 6... in otherwords it has 2 rows of 4 and 2 rows of 6 does this sound correct? Thanks for any help Mark

No, I do not have the changer, that is what I am trying to purchase but not sure which one I need. Thanks for your help Mark My CD changer connector is located on the right side of the trunk close to the antenna. It's right behind the right side trunk covering. Don't know if this will help but perhaps someone can direct you to where the connector is so you can see it for yourself.

Yes, I know where the connector is I am just not sure if it is the correct connector as I hear that it is a 4 pin + 6 Pin but my connecotr is a 2 rows of 4 pins + 2 rows of 6 pins. Last weekend I removed my CD changer and the connector was 6 + 4 pin. I'm positive it was not two rows of 4 pins and two rows of 6 pins. But I will check it to make sure. However, I suppose it's possible your CD changer is a different model, perhaps a 10-disk changer?
WarrenJ
I've often thought of adding the trunk-mounted multi-disk changer to my '98 Eldorado, but I have no great "felt need" for it. Otherwise, it would be a nice feature when I sell the car and I might get some use out of it in the meantime. My understanding is that a single part number changer works for a variety of years and models and, better, is available on eBay as "new unboxed." Even though I don't have a great need for it, I'd likely have done it long ago if I had a part number for the mounting brackets. That's what has stalled my install. Caddy Dealers have not been cooperative. Anyone have those bracket part numbers? Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. msb113
Not even going to bother with the picture as I am sure the connector I have is not for the CD changer, after removing a elec. tape from the 6 pin side I noticed a wire with what look to be a diode of some sort and have determined that it is not the connector I need... Going to tear the trunk apart tomorrow and try and find it I hope! Thanks, Mark
