Loudog
I looked through some of the other threads on this already. I have a 96 Seville SLS, which is overheating; i have a squishy upper radiator hose, and if i squeeze it can watch the fluid in my reservoir move. I removed the purge line and without the car running i have flow. Im not quite sure what to check next any help is appreciated. UPDATE, im dumb and didnt notice a broken belt , off to the store to get a new one anything else i should be concerned about?
Logan
I just replace both belts yesterday. Both were original. Save your old belt(s). Pretty nice having a spare in the trunk just in case. Check your water pump belt tensioner to be sure it is free... In my car there is a sticker under the hood somewhere (fender i believe) which depics the route the belts should follow. don't yours have this? If you are in complete control..... you are not going fast enough....

You do have to sort of squeeze the belt past the water pump pully. Northstar
There is a place for a 1/4 inch drive to fit into the water pump tensioner to move it to get the belt on. The accessory drive belt tensioner also has one that a 1/2 inch drive fits into.
