kcd1184
Got knuckles? So I'm not a computer wiz.... I try. Anyhow I can't remember how much of this episode I told, but here goes. Tracking down a rumble. Tires had 70,000 so I moved the new tire purchase date up 3 weeks. Thought it might be a belt. Had an alignment but they said( after it was on the rack) they had to have a shim kit to finish the job . Didn't like it but no choice. Came back the following Sat. and their machine was bonkers. Re-booted four times and had to re-set ten times. Said they didn't need the shim kit after all. Left with a bad attitude. Called the owner. Took it to a different shop (same owner) Five minutes in the air and they show me the knuckle bushing problem. Long story short, bought new knuckles, stabilizer links and bushings. They are on the Eldo now. The old ones were TRASH. Not a bad job, but I could do it again in 1/4 of the time. The ride is alot tighter but I will find out about the rumble tomorrow. As you know, you cannot just buy just the knuckle bushings. Salvage yards knuckles are 99.999999999999999999999999999 bad also. Also in this episode I have replaced all rotors and pads and the left front bearing and half shaft. Knuckles to you. Kent
BodybyFisher
Got knuckles? So I'm not a computer wiz.... I try. Kent Hey that is a lot of work good for you. I am really interested in your results. By the way, I was joshing you with the Got knuckles, it was not clear you had a problem, I figured you were just being abrupt, New Knuckles.... Got! This is a subject that is near and dear to me, so I wanted to know more, if you see on another thread, I discovered that my RR knuckle is shot last night.. I am getting a vibration also along with major vibration on braking. When I removed the upper control arm, I could see that the upper cross axis ball joint was worn out.
