JIMDTS
I had a few spare hrs today I wheeled out my car & slapped a coat of wax on it. The car had some very fine scratches & marks from car washes. Now it looks like it should look, it has plenty of gloss Hard to get a good picture in direct sun light The dealers porter does ok but not like I like them to look. I’m gett’n too old for this stuff It took me almost 3 hrs to wheel(polish), wash & wax
GreenMachine
very nice, I'm dealing with some swirls after taking it to a carwash, the paint was perfect before but I think they guy who dried it used a dirty rage because know I have the "spider web" effect. After work I'll have to make my way over and complain, maybe they'll give me a free wax detailing... Anyway your vehicle looks picture perfect Those DTS have caught my fathers eye a few times. The Green's Machines 1998 Deville - high mileage, keeps on going, custom cat-back exhaust 2003 Seville - stock low mileage goodness! 2004 Grand Prix GTP CompG - Smaller supercharger pulley, Ported Exhaust Manifolds, Dyno tune, etc 1998 Firebird Formula - 408 LQ9 Stroker motor swap and all sorts of go fast stuff
JIMDTS
Hi EGreen I hear you about car washes they can mess up all the work you put into your cars. I try to wash them at home if possible sometimes I can't & have to go to the car wash most of the time I wash my own car when possible Same with wheeling & waxing them I don't mind paying to have them done it's just that I'm never happy with someone elses work I can do a much better job myself Good Luck with your car maybe you will get a wax job out of the car wash Jim

JIMDTS
John I used fine cut rubbing compound with a wool pad on some areas that needed some fine scratches removed then 3M Swirl Mark remover with a foam pad & rotary wheel to clean the finish on the whole car then I used Maguires NXT wax that combination works for me it's easy & fast to use Only thing bad about the NXT wx is it's hard to get off the rubber on the car so stay off window rubber or any rubber on the car use it sparingly
