JIMDTS
I was driving my 07 today & hit the wrong switch getting on the freeway. Both switches are close together one is for the adjusting one is for floding I hit the folding mirror switch the car has the feature that the drivers & passenger side view mirrors can fold rearward I imagine it’s a good feature if you have to park close in a garage. While getting on the freeway I noticed someone at the dealer readjusted my mirrors & seat so I hit a switch to adjust them it was the wrong switch & the mirrors folded Not a good time for this to happen while trying to merge into traffic.. Another toy to play with. I use the side view mirrors all the time in traffic I use them to change lanes right or left when the mirrors fold you don't have any side view mirrors DUM A design they should have put a sensor if the car is moving faster say than 5mph they won't fold..Whne the mirrors folded I thought what the F Jim
abad95
That is dangerous, and I'm surprised they let that fly.Defenitely a FLAW.Sacrificing safety,so you could park in tight spaces. Florin
Bruce Nunnally
Bah, but what if you are trying for max velocity and you want to have them fold in for the added aerodynamic effect? I occasionally hit the left rear window switch instead of the driver's window switch. I (wrongly) attribute this to some subtle failure of the factory engineering team to locate the switch in the ideal spot for my use and NOT to a lack of hand coordination on MY part. Texas Jim
Bah, but what if you are trying for max velocity and you want to have them fold in for the added aerodynamic effect? Maybe if I would have folded my mirrors in, the other day.... I wouldn't have got outrun by a truck.
JIMDTS
VBG You could always use them to lower the aerodynamic air drag or use the folding mirrors to slow you down Fold them in for high speed driving & IF you need to brake hard & fast unfold them almost the same effect as thrust reversers or flaps Jim Texas Jim give it a try fold the mirrors in & see if you gain any top end speed Let me know if it works Jim
abad95
That is way funny guys! You know waht bugs me about my car? Having to spend $55000 on a luxury car,and can't stop my 2 year old from opening the back window. It drives me nuts!!! (No window lock). Oh yea...Have to hear it form my wife each time too.She has to sit there and block my baby from opening it by forcing it closed from her door switch. ( My daughter thinks It's real funny though) Florin
Texas Jim
Mine has window locks. The first button behind the four window buttons on the driver armrest. Just forward of the door lock button.

What I need is more POWER. Like in horsepower.... for acceleration. My sons new GMC Denali pickup will now out accelerate my Cadillac. Gonna have to do something about that. I could take his 6 speed Acura TSX and the Denali pickup, when he first got it. He has done some custom tuning to it ,,,, and now I can't.
