Recently I took my 95 caddillac seville sls to the shop. I dont go to the dealership like some of you probaly do. Never the less the guys that work on my baby are certified and know their business. I went to have the control arm bushings in the rear replaced and they ended up calling GM and they said that they didnt make bushings for my car no more. lololl They went on to say that I would have to buy a new control arm for my car. The price was 900.00. I thought this was a bunch of bs! There was no way I was going to do that. So I got online and found the bushings for my car and got it replaced. It goes to show that you can get things done a little cheaper if you take the time to get online and do your home work. Just because someone owns a caddy dont mean you have to spend caddy money to get it fixed. You also dont have to go the dealer to get things fixed. I usaly by the parts myself and take them to the shop and have them put it on. In all I have saved a lot of money doing things this way and my baby runs great. Just as good as if she went to the dealer to get things done. I thought I would pass this info cause there is a lot of young guys like me that just bought a caddy and dont know how to get things done with out spending a lot of cash. Like my daddy use to say.... the rich didnt get rich by spending money. Thanks

I agree with Mike fixing it yourself is much cheaper than dealer prices can't argue that. Online sometimes you can get lucky & find parts real cheap on ebay or places like that. Some things that go wrong with the car it can be very hard to fix yourself things that you need a tech2 or special tools etc.

Small things I fix then the time comes in if you need the car fixed fast sometimes you have to go the the shop vice waitng until the weekend to fix the problem You have to do what you can to save a buck.

Cool! I remember that issue with bushings as well. It would be great If you could share where you got them.
