MIke D
I just purchased a new to me key fob from ebay. Just got it and tried to do the "hold the lock and unlock" keys to reset it to my car and it did not work. Do I need to go to the stealership to get them to set it to MY car? New key off ebay on it's way too.. Cop didn't see it, I didn't do it! 93 STS 225,000 Miles 99 STS 111,000 Miles

Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

Regards, Warren Warren, Thanks. You may have saved me a big headache, since I was planning on trying to program the extra key fob I have left from my first '06 DTS that burned, to work with the '06 DTS I have now. No telling how much time I would have spent on it. I don't give up easy. Looks like I will be going to the dealer. So far, my dealer has been very nice to me. The other day I had the oil changed and they replaced the air filter without asking me. They only charged me 6 bucks because they done it without asking and getting approval. They always wash it for me and wipe off the chrome wheels, anytime I take it in for something. Oh well. So be it. I do want an extra one in case one of the other ones quit working.
