Through it all, the CTS didn't break a sweat — there's a surfeit of grip even in this rear-drive version (an AWD model with an active transfer case will also be available, but not with the FE3 suspension). The CTS was one of the rare four-doors on the track that day that retained its dignity. So yes, it's very much a Cadillac, but one that achieves its eerie nonchalance not through parlor tricks like marshmallow springing, but through an expert balance of engine response, handling integrity, braking power, and ride suppleness.
