MAC
The '94 Eldorado I recently bought has a nearly mint condition interior. I mean there is not one blemish or crack on the leather seats--front or back. I want to preserve the front seats with quality leather covers--preferably with Cadillac's emblem on the headrest. But it looks like I'm going to have to have them custom made because I can't find anything available for sale over the Internet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Bruce Nunnally
I vote enjoy them now. But here is a link for a seat cover http://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.aut...W_FTV3ooSrscjXA also http://www.google.com/url?q=http://www2.pa...Bh0Bsz0t1zpkKZQ but they both say 'custom made' so perhaps you saw those already. Poobah
I would give them a good cleaning and frequent conditioning (Lexol makes good leather care products) and enjoy them. Happiness is owning a Cadillac with no codes.
weephee
If you want to preserve the look and texture of your leather seats I would strongly, strongly recommend the use of Lexol Leather cleaner and restorer. I had a 96 STS with black leather seats. The leather was cracked and hard, almost brittle. I used Lexol and after perhaps 10 applications over a 4 month period the seats were soft and supple again. Cracks obviously didn't disappear but the restored look was incredible. I used it on my 02 STS and the seats look like they came out of the show room. If you use it on a regular basis, I don't think the leather on your seats will ever wear out. A great product.
MAC
Thanks for the advice about Lexol. I'll buy Lexol cleaner and conditioner--I think PepBoys sells it. I'm still up in the air about seat covers, especially concerned about wearing at the edge from getting in and out.

MAC
I bought a leather seat cover at PepBoys for about $60. Looks good and the color is close. I'm thinking about buying another for passenger side. The cover doesn't cheapen the car in my opinion.
BodybyFisher
These are OEM replacement leather seat covers, not cheap. They appear to only go back to 1997, check it out http://www.shadetreeonline.com/leather/leather.htm Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

They appear to only go back to 1997, check it out http://www.shadetreeonline.com/leather/leather.htm Those are full OEM covers--they look good but not exactly what I'm looking for. As seat covers go, the PepBoys covers do a pretty good job--good quality leather and they definitely protect the near mint condition of the original leather. I might buy Cadillac emblems for the seat covers' headrests.
