chazglenn3
Do they still make them, or are they unobtanium? My new to me 1991 STS was originally equipped with one, but has a standard windshield now. I suspect even if they are available, they must be outrageous. Ranger
I think they are still available, but I seem to recall someone recently mention $1200. Probably why it no longer has one.

Sheesh! I only paid $1800 for the car...guess it will keep the standard windshield. Charles
wsolman
I have a heated windshield in my 95 STS that I never use. The cost to replace it (on the Safelite website) was $2200! I think I'll be going with a regular version if it ever breaks.
Bill K
I had one on a 90 Linc. T.C. I had to buy a remote/grill mounted radar detctor because a detct. doesnt work through a heated w/s. I didnt think it, the heated w/s, worked all that great anyway.

wsolman
Thanks for the welcome. You're right, it is a lot of scratch. Bill K. is also right, radar detectors (or in my case the Illinois Tollway IPass transponder) won't work through the heated windshield.
