Bruce Nunnally
Motortrend is reporting that the 09 CTS-V will have a detuned version of the 7L supercharged Z07 Corvette engine, and make over 600 hp. http://www.motortrend.com/features/auto_ne...cadillac_cts_v/ Bruce 2016 Cadillac ATS-V gray/black Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
Cadillac Jim
I think that the grille looks like a nice smile, don't you? Some of the chassis refinements are mentioned in the article. A safe, easy-to-drive 600+ HP car can be very much fun to drive while normally using about 125 HP. They say that they will de-tune the engine 100 HP for the CTS, relative to the Corvette "Z07," possibly to have an engine that is comfortable, unchanged, with an automatic transmission without a high stall rate torque converter. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. Bruce Nunnally
I think the next CTS-V engine will be a Supercharged 6.3L, not a 7L. The HP is up to GM. I think it is an interesting point that there are limits as to the hp that even the new heavy duty 6speed auto can handle. I hope the CTS-V is available with an auto this time.
