sts_driver
Well Usually around were I live you won't find to many STS's in the junkyards, because there's only maybe 10 in the area including mine...So I happened to find one because I was looking for a power window motor and I thought what the hell mise well call around before I go searching the web... I found one a 97 STS with front end damage I couldn't beilive it so I grabbed my credit card and away I went hoping for some good deals, so I went got my power window motor ended up taking the power antena motor got them for 20 bucks... Than I noticed the 3rd break light was in place so I figured mines out, why not see if this one works, it did, I asked the owner how much he wanted he scratched his head and said 'that little light, ill give it to ya for 10 bucks'... 10 bucks!!! I dont no if this happens alot or what but I was amayzed and its in my car now works 100%. If you guys have ever found really good deals on cadillac parts, it would be nice to hear some stories..... WarrenJ
Shortly after I purchased the current steed I lamented here about its lack of a compass equipped mirror. My previous Eldorado had one and once or twice a year it was a lifesaver. Otherwise it went unused. Still, I *wanted* one. BodybyFisher is apparently a "regular" at a salvage yard near both of us where they know him as "Cadillac Mike." I think he has his own coffee mug there. Heck, he ships entire engines outta that place! Well, BbF made a phone call to them and arranged for me to take a run down there and pick up a compass mirror for $25. That was slightly less than a third of the best quote I got from online "experienced parts dealers." It was great to have taken advantage of BbF's favored customer discount. Thanks again Mike! Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
