micahdaniel
Initially, the window would get about half way down and hit a slow spot where it would sometimes stop, sometimes just slow down. This would happen in either direction at this spot. Helping the window would get it going. Later, when the wife was driving, it would stop at the spot and begin clicking. It would continue clicking until you released the switch. When I got to it, helping it got it up. When it did get up, it would do the clicking again until released. Now, it will click once and then nothing. No movement at all. What's up? Also, I get a lot of wind noise around the doors above 70mph. The weather stripping appears to be fine. What can I do about this?
Bruce Nunnally
You need a new window motor. One of the cogs in the window motor is plastic (nylon?) and when the teeth on the gear begin to fail you get the behavior you are experiencing. Not very hard to replace, and costs under $100 for the motor as I recall. For wind noise be sure to read through this: http://caddyinfo.ipbhost.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry101722 Bruce 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
