Very strange noise/vibration felt in shifter...

Every since I bought my 02 STS I've had this weird thing that happens to my shifter. It makes a sort of clicking noise every once in a while. It doesn't do it all the time, but it's just weird. I usually drive with my hand on it and you can noticeably feel it through it. Has anyone else has this?

Yes it does this as you reach a certain speed from a stop and as you slow to a stop.

This is the lockout solenoid that prevents you from shifting into R or P at speed.

It is not only normal. It is a good thing!
