6 Oz Shy in From Diff Lube

Recommended Posts

Decided to change the differential lube on

my dad's certified SRX @ 8,000 mi. To

my consternation, I drained 6 Oz less than

I filled in the rear diff. Good thing I didn't wait

for 25,000 miles to do the job.

Certified used means the stealer coats the paint

with shoe polish and claims the car was pampered.

Certified just means extended warranty. I am quite sure the 120 point check list is just pencil whipped. After I drove my certified '02 SLS home from Ohio I found the tire pressures ranged from 24 - 28, trunk leaked, passenger seat heat was inop.

Yep, people will do anything to do money now-a-days.

What made you change the differintial fluid?? My 3/4 suburban says that I don't have to do it until 60,000 miles, I changed it at 125,000 and it looked perfect. It was a very good thing that you did that though. Six oz. probably wouldn't have hurt anything though.
