Hello,

I´ve a little problem with my ´95 Eldo.

Now, I´m driving for many hour in heavy rain

and than I´ve seen water in the trunk (in the spare wheel tray).

It was one or two litre...

Now, in the spare wheel tray was NO rust and NO holes...

From where is the water ????

With best wishes from germany

Frank

Several possibilities in order of probability; rubber gasket around perimeter of trunk opening, body seams that are factory sealed with compound, body holes where tail lamps and wire harness pass through.

Suggest you remove trunk carpet and cushion material (you will have to do this to dry the carpet anyway), climb in the trunk with a battery operated light, close the lid, and have someone spray water around the trunk area. You should be able to locate the leak (or leaks).

Hello Jim,

now, also the spare wheel tray is wet... the other trunk is completely dry.

The carpet in the trunk is dry.

The metal in the trunk is dry.

Also the "spare wheel tray" is very wet.
