Marika
I shot this infrared image of the George Washington Bridge this morning. 25 second exposure. I then used Photoshop to "tone" the image. Enjoy!! If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans. WarrenJ
I can think of absolutely no use for this photo outside of its amazing "coolness quotient." Thanks! Rest assured, I'll be forwarding it. Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

ted tcb
Wonderful detail ... the first tower on the bridge looks surreal, almost 3 dimensional in how it jumps out in terms of light and mass. It almost has the appearance of a very fine painting, as if that first structure was painted onto the photo. Quite eerie, a very lonely photo. Marika
Great pic. Looks like something snuck in the bottom right corner though. Nope. That's a shadow on the water cast by the distant tower. 25 second exposures can sometimes create "strange" artifacts in an image. The water was moving of course, and that means the shadow was "moving" as well. Another example, the bridge was actually loaded with cars and trucks but yet you only see one truck in the image, near the left side. That's because that particular truck entered the picture during the last 2~3 seconds of the exposure. The rest of the vehicles simply disappeared. The image was cropped as well, removing a bunch of buildings to the right and extraneous cabling to the left.
