frm
On my 93 Deville when you put it in gear the doors lock automatically. I would likee to disconnect this feature only. I still want the remote to lock/unlock them. The gear automatic annoys me and I feel unsafe driving with it. What if you was in an accident and knocked out and no one could open the doors! It was made to keep the doors from opening in a crash My 1991 Seville did that and I think my 91 Eldo did it too- I wonder if they unlock in a crash I don't like being locked in either I wonder if that wasn't an illguided idea anyway- I am not sure but I think the cars with doors opening in crashes had those stupid auto seatbelts MerryChristmas Be a Capitalist or work for one. BodybyFisher
It's possible that since the dealer can modify this system that it can be disabled altogether, I would call the dealer and speak to a service manager. Maybe someone with a 93 will have more details on this feature's ability to be modified. This is from Page 70 of 399 of your manual: Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
