taiorlvb
Hello again.....The interior lights in my 94 SLS won't turn off, when I turn the ignition off. They got stuck last night and I can't seem to figure it out. I pulled the fuse, for the time being, so it doesn't drain the battery. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any help or advise would be most welcome! Thank you in advance. Vincent
Cadillac Jim
There are three possibilities: The headlight switch is turned all the way to the right, which turns on the interior lights. One or more of the interior lights is turned on by itself. They are push-on, push-off. One of the door-open switches is out of adjustment or shorted. Most of the time when this happens, someone has inadvertently found a way to turn on the interior lights (1 or 2 above). -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. taiorlvb
Thanks Jim for your help. I do appreciated it. I checked the things you had listed, and the headlight switch is fine, and so are the interior lights (in the off position). The one I can't check, is door switch. I can't seem to find it. Are they inside the door? I've also noticed, that the drivers side, door lock doesn't work, as well as the rear window. All the other windows and door locks work with no problem. Would the door switch cause all these problems? And...any idea where I can get a door switch? Thank you again for all your help. Sincerely, Vincent
taiorlvb
P.S. Jim..... Is the door ajar switch part of the power door lock actuator assembly? I can't seem to figure this one out. And, can the door ajar switch be changed out by itself? Thanks again for your help. Vincent
