Hello im new here....ive had a 97 eldo for about three years...have had everything changed with the car regularly and have put 101000 miles on it successfully since i got it at 97000 its been the best car ive ever owned but ive recently have had a problem with my coolant system and i think i may nees a new resovoir i was wondering hat the cost wud be on it brand new...will post pics soon thanks for any and all help and best reguards with ur new ride warren....97 eldo with 198000 and still going strong

The surge tank is not cheap. I replaced mine a couple of years ago and seem to remember something like $60. Why do you need to replace yours? Mine had a connector broken off.

We have a lot of people with a lot of experience on this board and we may be able to help you make sure exactly what is wrong and what needs replacing. Pleast post the codes here; the process for getting the codes is on a page here:

The DTCs provide a very useful tool to diagnse and fix newer cars. Most cooling problems are solved by changing the coolant, replacing the radiator cap with one from the Cadillac dealer, changing the water pump belt. etc.
