The Fred
I still would have a stupid FWD transmission though. Is there a good solid transmission I could use with a 350 in my car? Ed Hall
Believe it or not, it has been done. Someone stuffed a 350 in their FWD pontiac. There's a video of it somewhere on the net.
The Fred
Doesn't Pontiac make the Fiero? If so I've seen that in person. Well I saw a Fiero with a 350 V-8 in it. Cadillac Jim
I think a 1990 Seville with a 572 crate engine running a Rootes blower would be a great street machine. But, the simplest way to build something like that would be to lay the drive line on a custom tube frame and lay the Seville body on it -- a "funny car" as they call those at the track. OTOH, I think a better course of action would be to detail my Cadillac and trick out the stock engine within prudent limits, then obtain a 1970's bow-tie chassis with a small-block or big inline six engine for small change, then trick it out as a sleeper street machine. My solution is my Cadillac and a Suzuki Bandit S 1200. It can burn regular gas (I use high test though) and has a 0-60 mph time of 2.7 seconds and a quarter mile time of 11.19 seconds (Cycle Magizne, March 1999). It's a standard, which means it looks like a four-cylinder touring bike and is comfortable to ride, and it's great for rides in the country. When it was new, my wife and I rode from L.A. to the Grand Canyon, 500 miles, for a vacation. I paid $7500 for it new. It gets 28 mpg city, 35 mpg highway, is quiet as a mouse, and has zero maintenance other than an occasional oil change. Fred, straighten out the STS and keep it; I think that's what you really want. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. The Fred
I love the STS but I hate her right now She's definately a female automobile there is no doubt about that now No reason to check under there to find out or anything She's a woman car guaranteed What I really want right now is more money.. at least what I use to have.. getting closer every day I won't got crazy pouring money into automobiles but I'm going to have one very perfect 1991 Seville with at least 410HP under there and a very perfect 2006 Deville with at least 410HP under there on it too MerryChristmas Be a Capitalist or work for one.
