McMasterson
I am looking to upgrade from a '95 eldo etc to a '00 eldo etc. The '00 has a moonroof, whereas the '95 doesn't. I have the car the whole day for a test drive and have been playing with the moonroof. It opens and closes with ease, as far as the sliding of it back and forth. However, when i go to close it and am pushing the button forward to close and seal, if i hold the button forward it automatically opens the rear vent immediately after it closes shut. In order for it to seal when it is sliding shut i have to time the release of the button precisely otherwise the vent opens right away. it take several times to be successful. That doesnt seem right. Shouldnt i be able to hold the forward/close button until it closes and seals. If i want to then open the rear vent I should have to release the button and then push it forward again? This is the only issue i can find, but knowing how expensive they are to repair i was wanting to know if this is just the way it is, or the switch is bad. Thanks all for any input!!!
