help with tranny code po90

I wouldn't drive it if the tranny is slipping. I would look for a good AAMCO or local transmission shop that has been around for awhile and has a good name. I'll leave the dealer up to you; I've had good dealers that will suggest that you go to a transmission shop if that's the obvious thing to do but your mileage may differ. The 4T80-E has been around long enough so that any good transmission shop will look at it as just another transmission. If anybody tries to make something special out of it, politely leave.

I'm not at all usre that the P090 code has anything to do with the transmission.

P090 (E090) ......... VCC/TCC Brake Switch/Park/neutral switch Input Circuit Problem

However, look at these history codes:

P029 (E029) .............. Transaxle Shift 'B' solenoid problem (1st, 3rd, 4th gear)

P039 (E039) ..... Torque Coverter Clutch/Viscous Converter Clutch Engagement Problem

P052 (E052) ....................................................... PCM Memory Reset

P094 (E094) ............ Transaxle Shift "A" Solenoid Problem (Vehicle Speed Sensor)

P109 (E109) ....... Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Reset/PCM has lost primary battery power

The P052 and P109 codes could be because you disconnected the battery to reset the codes. The P029, P039, and P094 codes are all telling you that there is a problem with the transmission and/or the VSS. The VSS is on top of the right half-axle and you can see it from behind the right front wheel, particularly if you have the steering turned all the way to the left; wiggle the connector and push it on and maybe that code will go away.

Someone else with more experience than I with transmission problems please jump in here.
