It is a bit pricey at $1000 :P

Does anyone have a right rear door in burgundy for a 90-91 Seville?

Do the 87 and 88 Seville doors fit/ was the color the same?

Are you going to buy it? It could be an excellent buy providing something is not just about ready to fail. The biggest problem on these cars are transmissions and cracked leather seats. The 91 is the best year for this body style since it was the first year with the 4.9. Doors from 87-91 Sevilles should interchange however, there were some changes to body molding styles.

I probably will,

I called today and the lady is going to be out of town until later :)

You really know these little Sevilles and Eldorados,,

Is the 4.5 transmission more solid than the one that you get with the 4.9? I did have a tranny failure on my 91 Eldorado..

It's basically the same transmission with some differences in the valve body. The 88 and 89 4.5 is probably easier on the transmission since it only has 155 hp compared to 200 hp in the '91 4.9.

The 1990 4.5 is supposed to be 180HP... at least I thought so

I feel a real difference between the 89 and 90

Were you saying awhile back that the Allante heads will fit the 4.9?

I want to make the crazy thing at least as fast as my 94 STS,

Actually,

It needs to be quicker..

And to refresh my dead old memory, as I can remember, my ninetyone models with the 4.9 always ran on 87... right?

I want to really get with it like you did on your '88 Eldorado.. I want high power handling and brakes and exhaust

And an exhaust cutout!!

It will be good to have ABS again too.

Fred, you're right, the 90 4.5 was 180... they were also premium gas only.... I had a 90 Eldorado. Very underrated car. A nice ride. A little small, but it had a real confidence-inspiring feel on the road...

For $1000, I'm not sure you can go wrong, unless it's a total POS....

I had an 88 Eldo that I bought with 180k miles for 1800 bux several years ago, and it was a champ!!!!! I ran it for 20k miles or so, without putting a dime in it other than maintenance, and finally the trans failed, so I gave it away.

It had a sunroof, and had been driven from the lady's underground parking condo to her underground parking office, so the paint and interior was perfect - it was a great car.

I also like the '88-'91 Eldos and Sevilles. The '86 & '87 Eldos were nice also, but they were a little bit smaller than '88 on and they had the 4.1 liter engine.

I had a '90 Eldo which I loved. It was black with a beechwood leather interior with the bose stereo. Great car and very peppy and it handled well. I actually liked that size car. It was very roomy inside.

The horsepower increased in '90 with the addition of Sequential Port Fuel Injection.

I recently saw a pristine '91 Seville on Ebay. It was a low mileage car being sold from a Caddy Dealer. Great (showroom) condition. It was burgundy with wire wheels and a carriage top and it had a leather burgundy interior in perfect condition. It also had the Bose Radio with CD. If the car was available locally, I would have seriously considered it (I like to see and test drive cars I'm interested in).

The transmission changed in '91 (over '90) with the 4.9 liter engine. The '91 had the 4T60E electronically controlled transmission while the '90 had the THM-440 T4 transmission.

I had 100 K miles on my '90 Eldo when I traded it and the engine and transmission were in perfect condition. The transmission on the '90 was very smooth even though it was not the electronically controlled transmission that the '91's had.
