[Q] air filter removal to do radiator drain

Hi, for some reason cannot remove the hose to the airfilter box,

and without that I cannot seem to get down to the lower radiator hose

to do the coolant drain.

I loosened the ring but the hose sits pretty tight on the airbox and do not want to apply

to much force (as I might brake something), so figured I should ask first.

still do not the service manual though, and would not have it till late next week,

but wanted to change the coolant this long weekend.

thanks in advance,

Loosen both clamps. It takes a little persuasion. Don't forget to remove the IAT plug first, lest you pull thge wires out of it. Don't ask me how I know that.

is IAT plug a sensor plug that goes into airfilter housing? (that's the only thing I removed sofar)

thanks for such quick replies

That should be it. My '97 was in the duct, but I think my daughters '99 was in the housing.

thanks, took it off, took a little bit of Seafoam's "Deep Creep" :-)

thanks again
