Cadillac Homelink

This is the same unit sold by the dealer. The Cadillac overhead console programmable garage door opener is made for GM by Homelink, according to their web site. They say that they have been making it for Cadillac since 1995. For a 1992, you may need to change the overhead console to one for a 1995 or later if you don't have the slot.

The '92 Eldorado has the slot for the transmitter - it is between the visors. The original version of the built in door opener transmitter came out in 1981 or 1982. It is the same recepticle.
