2004 CTS Radar detector direct wiring

Do you have a sunroof? If you do, you might be able to grab ignition-controlled power from that mechanism.

After fooling around trying to find the correct wires in the overhead/sunroof I ran a wire into the engine comparment fuse box for my Valentine. Accross the headliner down the piller post (covering pulls off) and thru the firewall(Ifollowed the hood release cable). Another option is after going down the piller post is to run the wire under the dash to the power point on the passenger sideof the console. If you have one. Not sure on a CTS but on mine the power point is shut off after appx. five min. so it would also work.
