Poobah
On the following web page: http://www.books4cars.com/result3.htm?find...mageField2.y=10 I found a listing for 2000 Deville Service Manual 3 Vol. Set by Cacillac for Deville at $149.95 This sounds like a Factory Service Manual but I'm suprised that it takes 3 volumes to cover just the Deville. Is there anybody out there who is familiar with the manual who can confirm this? Thanks in advance. Happiness is owning a Cadillac with no codes. I've always seen two volumes, "Powertrain" and "Chassis & Body," (Volumes I and II respectively). http://www.helminc.com is where I'd go for $135. Maybe a DVD option might add to the price? Eric
2000 Seville is 3 volumes - not a guess, I have them. I would expect Deville to be the same.
JasonA
What are the three volumes in 2000? '97 is like '04, just two volumes. Volume 1 is chassis and some electronics. Volume 2 is powertrain and most electrical. Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?"
JimD
Got these in paper (Poobah was asking about a Deville); 1998 Seville is a 3 volume set. 2004 Deville is a 2 volume set (2000 "should be" similar). 2000 S10 ahhh never mind. thu
Book 1: General Information, HVAC, Steering , Suspension, Driveline/Axle, Brakes, Engine Book2: Transmission, Body and Accessories, Restraints, Vehicle Control Systems Books 3 and 4 are not STS specific, but has more detail on the 4T80-E. It also includes all of the trannies that GM produces as well as the transfer cases. I really didn't need books 3 and 4, but I was curious. All four books come from Helm. 2003 Seville STS 43k miles with the Bose Sound, Navigation System, HID Headlamps, and MagneRide 1993 DeVille. Looks great inside and out! 298k miles!
