KG6PSK
Hello Fellow Caddy Drivers, Got a electrical problem here. For the last few days, my '02 STS has been hard to start. When I turn the key, the engine will not crank over. The electrical system will come on, the dash will light up, and so on, but no cranking. If I turn the key a few times it will crank and start, eventually. I can hear a clicking noise when it won't crank, coming from under the back seat where the battery supposedly is. I want to start a little troubleshooting, starting by making sure the battery terminals are tight. Now comes to the first stumbling block - how do I get the back seat cushion removed so I can access all this stuff? Also, has anyone else had this issue? If this fails to rectify the problem, what else should I take a look at before I go to the dealer? Mark
BodybyFisher
I thought it pulls straight up on the cars that have the battery in the rear. Ranger
Just pull straight up on the seat cushion. It will come loose pretty easily. Don't forget to unplug the heated seat connector on the passenger side.
