The Fred
Why do I like the way my 1990 Seville drives more than I like the way the 1994 drives? The 1994 STS seems to have superior handling and braking.. it's tighter the seats are more comfortable- it is alot nicer inside, But the 90 Seville seems to have a more responsive throttle and it just sort of feels like a little roadster car to me for some reason MerryChristmas Be a Capitalist or work for one. JasonA
Your '90 is probably smaller inside, and probably lower to the ground. It's also probably not as isolated from the road, letting you feel the road more. The '94 STS's struts might be shot, giving you an over-isolated ride. The STS has a nice firm ride and good handling so I would think I should like it more than the 90.. *shrug* MerryChristmas Be a Capitalist or work for one. Work for a Capitalist or be one. Bill K
The human mind is just amazing. I dont know haw many posts I've read about people "feeling" horsepower/handeling ect. When in reality the differences could only be measured in 10's of a second. No ones "butt" can feel a 10'th of a second. However, our preception of speed/handeling is preconcieved by the image we see and either like or dislike and then transfered to our "feelings" of the car in question. To tell the truth, nothing rides better and looks as good as a Cadillac and I'm sure about that cause I can feel it when I drive.

BodybyFisher
I would say that vehicle handling is much more obvious and discernible than that. When I come into a tight corner with a big soft car, the tires squeal, I have understeer, the body rolls and I need to slow down. With a tight car, none of those negative characteristics are evident. Now adding a K&N filter and FEELING it? Now that's the placebo affect. Bill K
I was referring to the differences between a 90/94 Seville not Deville. I've never said anything about feeling any difference but I have said something about hearing a difference w/K&N. Funny how that works. The owner of a local muffler shop told me that customers mention their car feels more powerfull after a bad/loud muffler has been replaced and the exhaust quieted.
